If you’re currently an indie solo artist or band looking to make it big or to share your music with others around the globe, you’ve found the right community.
ODE stands for Oh Damn Entertainment. It is based in Boston, MA, but is also run out of a studio almost halfway around the world over in Ghana, Africa. Take caution. It is not just a music label. It is a musical community, if not a local revolution.
It was founded in 2017 by Jeffrey Addo with the purpose of discovering, producing, and promoting the music of overlooked talent, all while fostering a nurturing, collaborative community. The next Patoranking, Davido, or Tiwa Savage is the current business model, but ODE is willing to work with any artist in any style of music.
ODE seeks to help the talent with whom other labels and agencies have not developed relationships.
ODE recognizes the world is producing a surplus of musical talent for which there are not enough labels and agencies to represent. It exists to reduce the gap between talent and representation.
Because ODE believes all good entertainment is worth a damn.
Discover yourself. Rediscover the world.

Since 2014, entrepreneur, songwriter, and record producer Jeffrey “WholeBird” Addo has been a dominant force in Indie Hip-hop community.
With his communication and networking abilities, Addo plays a major role in the operation of acquiring future artists for ODE across the underground music industry while building strong relationships with music distribution companies like Spotify and Apple music. Addo is active in giving back to the community, most notably through his non-profit organization “The Addo Foundation” which is currently established in Ghana West Africa. The Foundation, founded in 2016, is dedicated to helping children and mostly orphans facing socio-economic hardships further their education while working with other organizations like United Way to help globally.
Essien plays a key role in the development of the company’s communications strategy, managing worldwide communications, via website development, event functions and social media. He oversees the interaction and coordination of the communications functions of ODE’s operating locations in the States as well as overseas. Immediately prior to ODE, Essien was largely a freelance Front End Web Developer and social media content creator. Essien graduated NEIT, RI, with a B.Sc in Graphic Multimedia and Web Design.
